#StudioFun ASPCA kids: Rescue Readers Review & #MomsMeet Giveaway

Studio Fun International partnered with the ASPCA to create a series of children’s books that simply warms my heart.  ASPCA kids: Rescue Readers books not only get kids reading but help kids develop and understanding and respect for animals.  ASPCA kids: Rescue Readers books are available in a variety of levels for young readers.  Level 1 books are best for beginning readers, Level 2 stories will help early readers become independent, and Level 3 books are intended to stretch the comprehension skills of independent readers.  Thanks to Moms Meet we recently got our hands on several Level 2 Rescue Readers books.  These books have colorful illustrations and simple sentences that combine to tell fun stories.  These “I Am” books are told from the point of view of the animal featured on the cover. This makes the stories extra fun for my kids.  Each Rescue Readers book has a letter to the parents at the beginning of the book.  These letters have helpful tips that will have you and your young reader bonding over the adorable rescue animal and its story.  I love how each of the Level 2 ASPCA kids: Rescue Readers books end with an interesting facts page.  Some of the books feature a real rescue pet that shares the pets story with the reader.  The cute book, I Am Nibbles, actually ended with a how to care for Guinea Pigs guide.  These facts and stories have resulted in a lot of interesting family conversations.  Our entire family really gets a lot out of these stories!

Studio Fun International and ASPCA left no young reader behind when teaming up to create these awesome children’s books.  ASPCA Kids has fun board books for those not so gentle hands to explore and learn.  The Mix and Match Pets book will have you counting and identifying colors over and over again.  The half pages even have my older kids all over this book!  Kids ages 6-8 will enjoy the The Pet Rescue Club series.  My 7-year-old son recently read, A New Home For Truman, and enjoyed the humor and loved the rescue of Truman.  This story even got my son and I talking about volunteering at a shelter!
