It all started with a mouse.
Our family recently went to Disney World for the first time and we had a fabulous time exploring the Magic Kingdom. We got to go on tons of rides and meet some of my kids’ favorite characters and truly explore our Disney side. While enjoying the magic of Disney, one message was clearly sent. All of this joy and magic began with one small mouse named Mickey. Today, Disney is the home of so many amazing and beloved characters, so it is pretty awe inspiring to remember that it did indeed start with a mouse.
Needless to say, our trip was so enjoyable that we are already talking about going back to Disney World to explore even more! Disney has more than a little bit to offer everyone, so I love the idea of having a party where all your guests can show their Disneyside. One of my boys is an absolute Disney Cars fanatic so we were thrilled to be chosen to host a Disneyside celebration featuring several Disney Cars themed items. The party decorations we received were all Disney Cars themed. My 4 year old son is a Disney Cars fanatic so he was more than excited to see these decorations. The tablecloth actually had a racetrack running all over it so it did not take long for my son to get out all of his Disney Cars to test out this new “track.”
We were provided several fun party games and activities to keep our little Disney fans busy. It was seriously fun to watch each kids reaction to seeing Mickey’s face on our cabinet door when they first arrived at the party. Each child exclaimed, “Mickey!” in excitement and then quietly studied his face until they would then exclaim, “Oh, he is missing his mouth!” Once I explained that they would all get a chance to put a smile on Mickey, the kids became more than excited. They began discussing strategy and personal experience at games such as this. This game was a huge hit. They giggled harder and harder every new smile was placed on Mickey’s face. Hours after the game had been played, the kids still continued to go back to Mickey mouse and giggle.
The fun continued with several games of Show Your Disney SIDE memory and each child coloring his or her own Straw decoration. The kids had the chance to choose from Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy. The parents were surprised and impressed by how much time and care the kids put into decorating these items. The children were very proud of their creations and went around the party showing them off to all of our guests!
Once the characters were colored, all that needed to be done was hole punch where the X’s were located on the picture and each child had a fun Disney themed straw decoration. Our young guests all took home their creations as well as some other Disney themed goodies and treats that we put inside the cute little Disney Cars party favor containers. Each of our adult guests took home photo quality printer paper and envelopes.
I received free products in order to host the Disney Side @Home Celebration. All opinions are mine alone.
