Chiquita Bites make healthy snacking as convenient as it gets. The fruit and veggies are clean and ready to eat and range from 30-80 calories per serving. Plus, Chiquita Bites are available in a variety of sizes to suit your needs. The multipacks and family packs are perfect for recipes and parties. The individual size serving bags are perfect for salads, picnics, and school lunches. Best of all, the apples are already cut in easy to bite slices. If you have a little one who still struggles with the tough apple peel, no worries! Chiquita Apple Bites also come in a peeled variety. If you have a child entering Kindergarten or 1st grade, you may want to stock up on the peeled apples. My son lost 8 teeth last year when he was in Kindergarten! The poor kid had such a hard time eating crunchy foods and the employees serving school lunch were not allowed to cut the apples served at school. I had a major pinterest fail by trying to dice up his apple and wrapping it with a rubberband in hopes it would prevent the apple from turning brown. The apple ended up in the garbage because it did not stay fresh. Thanks to Chiquita Apple Bites my near toothless 6 year old can actually enjoy one of his favorite fruits at lunch.
When I get a craving for a sweet treat, I love to dip my apples into caramel dip. Needless to say, I was thrilled to find that Chiquita even offers Apple Bites with caramel dip! Something about being to dip your food makes it more fun and extra special. I simply love how convenient Chiquita makes this little treat!
During the summer months we are super busy with sports and other outdoor activities so convenience often wins out when it comes to snacking on the go. No matter what your family’s interests, I am sure you can all relate! I have learned to pack a small insulated cooler with healthy snacks such as Chiquita Bites and string cheese to prevent us from filling up on less healthy options. When we are on the go, I love to pack the Chiquita Bites Juicy Red Apple and Grapes so my kids have a little variety in their snack. When we are actually at home, my kids cannot get enough fruit and one of their favorite snacks is an apple car. My kids are always impressed with my craftsmanship when creating this fun snack but truthfully it is super easy to prepare. In fact, if you have Chiquita Apple Bites on hand, this snack takes a matter of seconds to throw together! Simply cut a small slit in each grape and fit the apple slice inside two of the grapes. If your kids are like my boys they may want to play with their fruit cars. When they want to “drive” the cars on their snack plates, I cut both the grapes and tooth picks in half. Two halves of a tooth pick will serve as two axels for the apple car. Each half grape serves as a wheel and the cars can handle a little more pretend play before being eaten. I would only recommend giving the toothpick version of the apple to kids that can handle pulling tooth picks out of their food before eating. Both options are fun and very easy when using Chiquita Bites!
